Real New York Tours focuses on private and small public group tours to give people the personal attention and flexibility for their New York experience. With a private tour the day belongs to you, so we can add, subtract or substitute specific sites within your private tours itinerary as long as they fit within the time frame of the tour. Group tours are similar, except they more closely follow the itinerary and schedule to ensure fairness to everyone in the group. Click on a tour below to view details.

Our tours are done by subway and walking so if you have any serious mobility issues please let us know ahead of time so we can discuss an itinerary and other options that are available to you.

The Big Apple Tour is for people that truly want the full perspective of all New York City has to offer. We'll explore the history, architecture and pop culture of many diverse neighborhoods.

    For those folks who perhaps don't have time for the Big Apple Tour, the Half Apple Downtown will certainly at least wet your whistle and leaving you yearning for more.

    For those folks who perhaps don't have time for the Big Apple Tour, the Half Apple Uptown will certainly at least wet your whistle and leaving you yearning for more.

  • Grow Your Own Apple

    Grow Your Own Apple gives people the opportunity to build their own Half Apple Tour.

  • The Baked Apple Pub Crawl

    This tour hits three of New York's oldest pubs. At each we will enjoy a beer, discuss New York history and how these establishments played a role in the fabric of social life and the arts. Along the way to each pub we will tour the sites as we gently stumble through thc city.

Group Tours

  • A Dozen Apples

    For those who are perhaps on a budget and still want to get a private tour feel, you might want to explore our Dozen Apples open tour. Most of the sites of the Big Apple Tour, open to only 12 guests to keep things intimate.

  • The Downtown Dozen

    This tour is for folks that might not have time for the full six hour tour or those who might merely be on a budget. It is essentially the same itinerary as the Downtown Half Apple but with a small group of up to 12 people which still allows for a personal, intimate experience.

  • Lower Manhattan - Then And Now

    The past and present come together in New York's most historical neighborhood. Four centuries of history are woven together on this exploratory tour where you will get to know some of New York's most important figures that shaped American culture.
